Well it depends. The average model is about 5 feet and 8 inches. And weight isn’t the only aspect of modeling. Everybody is built differently. I model, and I’m 5’9 and weigh 120.

Hi, I’ve been a model for the last two years. Basically, it depends on the room you’re in.
All floor rooms – you fold and you fold correctly. On your first day you will be shown the different ways to fold clothes
Front Room – you greet customers, right now the tag line is “Hey What’s Up”
Cashier – you ring, and ask the customer “Hey, did you grab some So Cal?”
One of the things that Hollister stresses is preventing theft. You do this by correctly identifying and taking care of the situation in a non-threatening way. You should have seen this in a loss prevention video during your orientation. One important thing to note is that you should be in dress code. Only Navy Blue, Grey or white tops with jeans.

hollister jobs are more for high school students… because you hardly get any shifts and it’s supposed to be a very laid back job. so… if you’re trying to make a good amont of money, i would say hollister isn’t the best place to work… you will get paid minimum wage and only have 1-2 five hour shifts a week.
it’s a fun, easy job. just not a great way to make money fast.

I have an interview at my mall’s Hollister on January 4th, i’m really nervous and excited, can anyone give me tips about the interview questions? P.S.(I have a closet full of new clothes I just bought from there, but could still use help on picking one out)
I had my interview with them a few months ago, so I don’t remember too many specifics. But, it was a group interview, and they have certain question for models and certain ones for impacters. They’ll just go around the circle, asking questions like “Why would you be good at working here?” “How would you describe yourself?” “Describe the hollister style.” etc. There were only four (maybe five) questions. I think one of the most important questions was “What does diversity mean to you and why is it necessary in the workplace?”
Honestly, I think even if you give bs answers, as long as you seem friendly and fit the Hollister look, you’ll get hired. At least, that’s what happened in my case – most of us had basically the same answers, they just hired people based on what they looked like.
So, obviously, pay attention to what you wear. Our colours right now are navy, white, and grey. So, you can wear any of those three colours for a top, and a pair of jeans. Any colour plaid/flannel is allowed too, so you could do that as well. Make sure your hair is neat, and natural looking. No fancy curls etc. Most of the girls just straighten their hair. Don’t wear a lot of makeup! Just a touch of mascara, and any make up on your face, but try to make it look natural/minimal. Absolutely NO eyeliner! I have dark lashes, and even when I’m just wearing mascara, my manager asks if I’m wearing eyeliner and makes a big deal out of it, so I’d suggest going easy on the mascara as well if you have dark lashes. It doesn’t really matter if you have your nails painted, because you’re not even supposed to know the rules, but the policy states that you can’t have any on your fingernails and that your toes can be any shade of pink or red. Oh, and also, minimal accessories, if any. Especially no big necklaces/rings etc.
Although the specifics (nails, accesories, etc) don’t matter much at the interview, its good to look prepared and like you already fit in.

I actually am in college, I just need a summer job and if that opportunity was open I would take it. Just because it’s Hollister doesn’t mean everyones the same, you can’t judge people by the brand they wear-everyones still different.
From what you described I’m guessing you mean an in store model (like a sales associate).
Most models are recruited but you can just go to the store, ask to apply, you’ll go to a computer, apply and set up an interview, go to a group interview, and from there what happens happens.
Yes, they use in store models in the marketing but honestly it doesn’t happen as often or the way that most people think

since im not 18 i can’t work more than 4.50 hours so pretty much i get payed $29.97 a day. keep in mind that they only give us like 2 shifts a week and we get payed bi-weekly which means every two weeks.

im not sure about weight but the models that i work with at Hollister wear clothing sizes from a XS to a large. It all has to do with your height and how the weight looks on you. They typically are on the skinnier side and are not overweight for thier height.

Keep in mind that there are, like, 50 stylists at those shoots and the possibility of hair extensions. If you want a sleek style, first wash your hair and use a deep conditioner. After that, use Bedhead control freak serum and blow dry your hair straight. After it’s mostly dry, smooth it out with a flat iron. To get waves, work in a good leave in conditioner, like Paul Mitchell, and loosely braid your hair and then go to bed. When you wake up, spray on hair spray and you’re good to go.

um just get lean hot and sexy take pics in their cloths and apply when your ready. i work there and i wear a med large. as long as you look good they wont care. one thing you should know is you have to wear the same out fit like 3 to 4 days a week and they choose what you wear. your a walking advertisement. even if you don’t like the out fit it doesn’t matter.

I’m looking for a job for the summer. Do I need to look like a male model to work there in front of the public? I think I’m good looking and I’m not fat, but I’m not quite sure I look like a male model.
This is so morally wrong, but yes you do. Not only that, but even once you do get hired there’s rules about looks. You can only leave your hair down, no curly hair, and girls can only weight 120 pounds at most.

What products should I use to make my hair look like the Hollister models?
This is a silly question, but I want my hair to look like this when I go to the beach. If I try keeping my hair straight, because that is what is naturally is, then it just bends, frizzes and looks dry.
My hair is fine textured and color treated and goes a little past my shoulder blades. I also have side swept bangs.
Use John Frieda’s Beach Blonde product line, specifically the Sea Kelp Conditioner and Golden Streaks Creme.
So after you condition, get out of the shower, remove excess water, and let your hair dry naturally, don’t brush it. Then in the underneath layers of your hair, pull through some of the gold creme.
Just remember at the beach, you don’t blow-dry or brush. If you want a little wave, put the gold creme in your hair when it’s wettish, braid, let dry.

They do actually but very rarely as the more expensive clothes are at Abercrombie. The two companies are owned by the same owner so I assume Hollister does, like I said, with less frequency.

Yeah…I work at Hollister and the answer above me is completely absurd and untrue. You have to work for the store in order to be a model. Hollister models must have their picture taken by their manager and their manager sends those pictures to the district manager of your area. He or she must approve that model as a “cast of”. Once they are selected as cast-of’s. They are accepted and allowed to go into casting calls. If they are selected by recruiters to do marketing, they are about to model for the company. The money that they make from the photoshoots will come into their paycheck. How much they make is actually undisclosed to everyone else. I know a couple of kids from my store who did photoshooots and went to casting calls for the company and they were not allowed to tell us how much they got but I heard it’s a pretty sweet amount. You have to be 17 to apply at Hollister Co.

i just read an article lately where abercrombie and fitch got in some legal trouble bc their policy didnt fit in minorities.
like it was against their policy to not hire certain people that didnt fit in.
some girl (she was white) was moved to the stock room bc she had an aartificial arm and it was “unsitely” or something like that.
